About the event
This 40 minute walk will introduce you to some edible plants growing wild right around Eastwind. You'll learn how to identify some common plants and trees (and some to avoid). And you'll also get to taste some creations made from wild-harvested plants and fungi. Round out the walk with a pre-dinner foraged mocktail. There will be plenty of time to chat, ask questions and get acquainted with the plant life around you. This event is rain or shine. It will be moved indoors if it’s raining. INSTRUCTOR BIO Renee is a Catskills-based chef and designer who specializes in working with wild plants and fungi. She works in many media, builds cob ovens, bakes bread and pastries and obsesses over finding and eating wild mushrooms. You can see more of her work on Instagram @renee_makes_things.
