Mother's Day in the Catskills
Mother's Day is May 10th. Three weeks away. Closer than it feels.
Whether she’s the kind of mom who recharges in a sauna or the kind who recharges with her rescue pup by her side, Eastwind Hotels have built a day around her. Eastwind Oliverea Valley
The Mother's Day Wellness Day Pass is two hours with nowhere to be and nothing to do but be present. She'll have full access to our heated pool, two Scandinavian-style dry saunas, an infrared light room, cold plunge bucket, hammocks, and fire pit. Valid for a 2-hour window between 11 AM and 4 PM. A perfect gift for the moms in your life who deserve a proper retreat, even if just for an afternoon.
Before she leaves, every Day Pass guest is invited to make their own mini bouquet at our DIY Flower Bar. It's a small thing. It lands.
Stay for brunch at Dandelion
Dandelion is forage-to-fork restaurant, and on Mother's Day it's doing what it does best: building a menu around what's actually good right now, in mid-May in the Catskills.
The prix fixe brunch opens with a Dandelion Bellini, made with sweet foraged dandelion syrup, the kind of thing that only exists for a few weeks a year and only tastes like this because of where we are. From there: warm bread with house-made ramp compound butter, and a choice of refined mains put together by a team that came up through New York City's sustainable agriculture scene and chose to cook here instead.
This is not a brunch that was designed to turn tables quickly. It's the kind of meal you linger over.
Dandies at Eastwind Windham
Dandies sits on hillside in a light-filled greenhouse that was designed to feel like somewhere you stumble onto and immediately tell your friends about. No reservations, no fuss — order at the bar, grab a buzzer, find a good seat by the fire or a window. It's Windham's newest gathering spot, and on Mother's Day, it belongs to the dog moms.
Paws. Bellinis. Puptails. Mountain air.
To the moms who walk, feed, love, and repeat, this one's for you.
On Sunday, May 10, 11am-3m, Dandies opens up for a Mother's Day social in the greenhouse and biergarten. Every mom gets a complimentary cocktail on arrival: a Pickled Ramp Bloody Mary or a Dandelion Bellini. Dogs are welcome, and they're not forgotten either. Four-legged plus-ones get a broth-based puptail of their own.
Brunch specials run à la carte (Low Country Shrimp & Grits, Steak & Eggs) alongside the full Dandies menu: smoked meats, hand-pattied burgers, porchetta, seasonal sides, and the house-made Italian-style gelato that earns its place at the end of any meal.
No reservations needed. Come as you are, dogs and all.
Can't make it on the day?
She might not be able to. Plans change. Distance is real. Life gets in the way.
