Bring the Whole Pack
There's something special about exploring the mountains with your four-legged best friend. Waterfalls to chase. Forest trails to sniff end to end. A crackling campfire to doze beside while the people talk a little too long. The Catskills and Adirondacks are full of exactly this, and your pup is welcome to join for all of it.
Waiting at Check-In
Your dog gets their own welcome. Each of our properties sends them off with a little amenity kit of their own: a toy, a few treats, and a foldable bowl made for the trail. A small thing, maybe, but it sets the tone for the weekend. Your four-legged travel companion gets pampered from the moment you arrive too.
"Dog Approved" Place to Land
After a day of hiking around Windham, stop by to DANDIES at Eastwind Windham, where dogs are welcome to join you in the expansive outdoor spaces. With plenty of shaded seating, including a forested Biergarten tucked among the trees, its perfect to relax over a meal or a drink after a day of hiking, while your pup enjoys the fresh mountain air by your side.

Before You Pack the Leash
Are Eastwind Hotels dog friendly?
Yes, all three of them: Eastwind Oliverea Valley and Eastwind Windham in the Catskills, and Eastwind Lake Placid in the Adirondacks. Dogs stay in designated pet-friendly rooms, and every property has an amenity kit waiting at check-in.
How much is the pet fee?
$50 per pet, per night, in our designated pet-friendly rooms. When we say pet, we really mean dog. Any damage to the room or furnishings falls outside the fee and is assessed individually.
What's in the dog amenity kit?
A toy, a few treats, and a foldable bowl that packs easily for hikes and outdoor adventures.
Can my dog stay in the room alone?
No. Dogs can't be left unattended in rooms, and around the property they should stay leashed for everyone's comfort. The good news: everywhere worth going here, they can come too.
Is there a dog friendly restaurant at Eastwind?
Yes. DANDIES at Eastwind Windham welcomes dogs across its outdoor spaces, including the forested Biergarten with plenty of shade, a fine place to land after a day on the trails. Dandelion Restaurant at Eastwind Oliverea Valley also welcomes leashed dogs on its outdoor patio, where you can enjoy your meal together. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times while on the property.
